Baldwin County Public Schools Serving Eastern Shore Homes

Families residing in Eastern Shore real estate - Spanish Fort, Bay Minette, Loxley and Robertsdale, Daphne and Fairhope, and south to Orange Beach and Gulf Shores homes - have access to the highly regarded Baldwin County Public School System.  Located between the Gulf of Mexico, Mobile Bay, and Florida, the Baldwin County Public School System encompasses one of the largest counties east of the Mississippi River.

The Baldwin County Public Schools distinguish themselves by creating a world-class learning environment for approximately 30,000 students.  Baldwin County schools are located in seven areas.  Described as "feeder patterns," these are pathways taking students from kindergarten through 12th grade. 

Having achieved accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), a division of AdvancedEd, Baldwin County School District is also recognized by other organizations and agencies for excellence in education.  The American School Board Journal presented the Magna Award 2007 for outstanding performance in classroom technology.  The American Association of School Administrators and Sodexho School Services recognize the strong relationships between school and community partners achieve through the Civic Star program.

The schools are community centers, following a tradition set by Alabama's first public school.  It was erected in Tensaw in the year 1799.  Today, specialized services are available by inquiring at the administrative offices are in Bay Minette, alternative school in Robertsdale, and a central-office satellite and information technology center in Loxley.

Parents and guardians may enroll students by making appointments at the individual school offices with a counselor or registrar.  See bcbe.org/registration.  A number of activities held before the school year assist in acclimating students to the school day.  Throughout the year, parents may also participate in Open House events.
