Gulf Shores Real Estate Anticipates Sand Volleyball Business

Restaurants, shops, and vacation accommodations are filling up throughout Gulf Shores Alabama real estate for the 2013 NCAA Women’s Sand Volleyball National Championships this week. The tournament draws the top six college volleyball teams in the United States plus the top doubles teams from all colleges and universities. On May 2, 2013, there is an opportunity to watch practices. The exciting event continues through May 5, 2013

The event is a huge boost for tourism and the economies of Gulf Shores and surrounding communities. Area businesses anticipate more visitors this year. A businessman quoted today in Fox10TV.com explains, “It’s a huge impact. It affects everything from transportation companies to retail stores.” A portion of the championships will be aired by CBS Sports Network, adding to the exposure for real estate in Gulf Shores.

The NCAA San volleyball National Championship tournament is scheduled in Gulf Shores from the year 2012 through 2015. The NCAA added sand volleyball to its program during the 2011-12 school year.
