Mobile Alabama Real Estate Welcomes Labinal Airbus Supplier

Planned for construction on Mobile AL real estate at the Brookley Aeroplex, a recent announcement by representatives of Safran and Labinal captured the attention of city officials and Airbus suppliers. Labinal plans to break ground in April or May to house the first Airbus supply factory in the Port City. Area leaders are confident that Labinal’s decision will prompt other Airbus suppliers to relocate to properties in Mobile.

Other cities competed for the facility but the Airbus supplier felt at home in Mobile. Within a few years, Labinal’s new commercial real estate in Mobile will integrate high-paying jobs for 50 personnel. Mobile Mayor Sam Jones spoke of an average starting salary of about $70,000. In addition, Labinal plans to work with AIDT to build a workforce and eventually employ 1000.

Labinal produces wiring solutions for the global aerospace industry. It operates facilities in the United States, Germany, United Kingdom, and Mexico. In addition to supplying Airbus and American Airlines to the facility in Mobile, Labinal supplies to Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, Bombardier, Boeing, Eurocopter, Embraer, Dassault and Agusta.

Labinal is a division of the French aerospace company Safran Engineering Group. An aerospace and defense firm, Safran also builds engines and other important complements for aircraft. On December 7, 2012, Safran Group announced that its Snecma division was named as a “Top 100 Global Innovators” by the Canadian news agency Thomson Reuters.

The high-ranking company has a track record of excellence in research and innovation and a strong commitment to build solid foundations in the competitive aerospace market. Safran Group now has “an impressive portfolio of more than 25,000 patents,” according to information released from its headquarters in Paris.
